生まれたときには、すでに世界があった。
そこには人がいて、社会があり、ルールがあった。
かろうじて、
その中から好きなものを選び、
小さな自分の居場所を探し続けていた。
でも今は、違って見えている。
世界の中に自分がいるのではなく、
自分の中に世界がある。
それに気がつくと、いろいろなモノの見え方が変わった。
好きな服を着て、好きな場所へ行き、好きな景色を見ること。
誰にも聴かれずに、ただ自分のためにギターを弾くこと。
東京の夜をゆっくりと歩き、新しい発見をすること。
店へ行き、美味しいものを食べ、時に誰かと会うこと。
何かを考え、何かを思い、そしてただ感じること。
それらは、
すでにある世界から何かを拾い集めているのではなく、
この「自分」というものを通して、
世界が一つずつ現れているのだろう。
だからそれを、形にしてみたいと思った。
好きなものと、
まだ知らないもの。
気楽に行こうじゃないか。

I used to believe that I existed within the world.The world was already here when I was born.
There were people, society, and rules already in place.
Somehow, within all of that,
I chose the things I loved
and kept searching for a small place of my own.
But now, I see it differently.
I am not within the world.
The world is within me.
Once I realized that, the way I saw things began to change.
Wearing the clothes I love, going where I want to go, and taking in the views I want to see.
Playing guitar just for myself, even when no one is listening.
Walking slowly through Tokyo at night and discovering something new.
Going out, eating something good, and sometimes meeting someone.
Thinking something, feeling something, and sometimes simply being present.
These are not things I gather from a world that already exists.
Through this thing I call “myself,”
the world reveals itself, one thing at a time.
And so, I wanted to give it a form.
Things I love,
and things yet unknown.
Let’s take it easy.

I live with a rather unusual pet.
Based in Tokyo, I work in web design, planning, and branding.
Clothes, music, places, and people.
I use this space to document the things I encounter along the way—and the thoughts they leave with me.
